Steam Oven and Steamers

How to Descaling

The appliance must be descaled regularly in order for it to continue operating correctly. Regular descaling removes hard water deposits and limescale build-up, improving your steam oven or steamer’s performance. For hygiene reasons, the descaling programme must be run through completely so that the appliance can be ready for operation again.

1) Mix 400 - 500 ml water with one descaling table (36g/pc) to make a descaling solution. Click HERE to purchase the descaling tablets . Using other descalers may damage the appliance.

2) Empty the water tank and refill the water tank with descaling solution. Please ensure the tank is filled with water to the maximum level ("max." mark). Reinsert the filled water tank into the tank recess and close the appliance door.

3) Select the Descaling programme. Descaling can be found in the Operation Modes.

4) After Descaling finished, remove the descaling solution from the evaporator dish using a cleaning sponge.

5) Remove the water tank, rinse thoroughly, fill with fresh water and reinsert the water tank. Start the first rinsing cycle.

6) After the first rinsing finished, remove the remaining water from the evaporator dish using a cleaning sponge.

7) Remove the water tank, rinse thoroughly, fill with fresh water and reinsert the water tank. Start the second rinsing cycle.

8) After the second rinsing finished, remove the remaining water from the evaporator dish using a cleaning sponge. Wipe out the cooking compartment using the cleaning sponge and then dry with a soft cloth

9) Descaling is completed and the appliance is ready for use again.

If descaling is interrupted (e.g. due to a power failure or because the appliance is switched off), you will be prompted to rinse the appliance twice when you switch it back on. The appliance cannot be used until the second rinsing cycle has finished.

If the water deposits or limescale is heavy, you will be prompted to rinse the appliance for several times when doing the descaling. Please follow the instruction on the appliance display to complete all the rinsing cycle.
