Red wines develop their aromas at slightly higher temperatures, while white and sparkling wines prefer a cooler climate. With three separately controlled temperature zones ranging from 5 °C to 20 °C, you can be sure that all your wines are stored at the perfect temperature.

Storing wine is an exact science
Siemens wine coolers have been carefully engineered to ensure the optimal storage conditions for wine. Our cabinet doors are equipped with UV-protection glass to prevent damage from sunlight. Inside, the soft closing mechanism and shock absorbent oak shelves protect against knocks and vibrations. While low-vibration technology makes storage safer and particularly quiet—only 38 dB.
What to consider when buying a wine cooler?
How to store different varieties of wine
As a general rule for storing wine, 8 – 12 degrees Celsius is best for white wines and 12 – 19 degrees Celsius is the ideal range for red varieties. Sparkling and sweet wines require a slightly lower temperature than white wines. 5 – 8 degrees Celsius is ideal.
- Full bodied reds: 17˚C - 19˚C (Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Shiraz, Vintage port)
- Light/medium bodied reds: 12˚C - 16˚C (Young Spanish and Portuguese wines, Sherry, Chianti, Pinot Noir, Merlot etc.)
- Dry whites: 8˚C - 12˚C (Italian whites, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay etc.)
- Sparkling and sweet wines: 5˚C - 8˚C (Cava, Sparkling wine, Champaign, Sake, Riesling etc.)
Size and capacity
Siemens wine coolers come in a range of sizes. To find the right model for your kitchen, measure the installation area. Make sure to leave a few millimeters space above and either side of your chosen model to allow for ventilation. To install a freestanding model in an enclosed area, such as a cupboard or cabinet, you will need to leave a gap for the door handle.
