What to consider when buying a tumble dryer
Heat pump dryers vs condenser dryers
Heat pump dryers use less energy (up to 68%*) and their lower drying temperature is gentler on fabrics, while condenser dryers are typically more affordable and have a slightly faster drying time. If you do laundry regularly, the lower temperatures and energy efficiency offered by heat pump dryers make them ideal.
Cleaning and care
To maintain optimal drying performance, it is important to remove fluff from your filter regularly. With selfCleaning condenser system, the condenser is automatically washed and cleaned in every drying cycle to keep your dryers at high performance level with the most energy-efficient way. Condenser dryers should be cleaned approximately once a month, depending on usage.
Anti-crease technology
The Less Ironing option on selected Siemens tumble dryers gently tumble the laundry after a drying program to avoid laundry from becoming creased during the drying process.
Installation and stacking
If you don’t have enough space to put a washing machine and dryer next to each other, but you still want the convenience of a tumble dryer, consider opting for stackable appliances. Most front-loading dryers can be stacked on top of a 60 x 60 cm front-loading washing machine. However, a stacking kit may be required.
